From my Watch Desk:
Only MSNBC is picking this up on open source. Fox and CNN are silent.
DHS and FEMA boards are dark.
Cannot confirm if A/C is back @ O'Hare; few minutes delay-time in reporting.
Will continue.

The annoying thing is -- if they find a bomb would we be told? Does every news alert have to be a hoax or false alarm. Its annoying -- but at the same time you don't want it to happen.

Just keep calling in Stay on the line until the call can be traced. Of course now that can be done before the caller gets the first syllable out.

Didn't MSNBC break the other one? FOX and CNN I would bet are a little gun shy.

I always worry about that when the threat gets lowered.

Of course now that can be done before the caller gets the first syllable out. I wonder how many terrorists watch the movies and take it to heart. Probably have their 60 second timer on top of the phone -- hanging up right at 59 as the person on the other side laughs. Of course you have to BELIEVE the other person -- which is how Sniper Muhammed avoided capture for so long.

Serious subject but your Archie Bunker line is classic. Good one!
To: Old Sarge
to repeat what was above, SouthWest does not fly out of O'Hare, they fly out of Midway (MDW).

"Guns won't stop a planted bomb from exploding."
Oh, stop it! Reason is not expected in these threads. [grin]

yes i understand that scenario. i just thought the plane was farther into it's route ... thought turning around meant something else.. i guess i am brain dead today...
you do have to wonder if this kind of stuff is going to cripple airtravel.

Right, when I live in Pasadena Texas and went to Gilley's they checked you for guns and if you didn't have one they would rent you one.
