VERY NICE CANDIDATE WEB PAGE NOW UP... see link...

It's a tough district for a Republican, but Clinton took a surprising 44% of the vote without much funding in 2002. Could he win? He "has shot".

BIOGRAPHY

A Mississippi native, Clinton B. LeSueur understands the issues facing the Second District. And as a proven vote-getter in the 2002 election, he has already caught the attention of the national media in 2004.

The tenth of fifteen children, including three sets of twins, his parents, Jeremiah and Hazel LeSueur, raised a close-knit family where the values of religion, education, hard work, and perseverance were stressed.

Born and raised in Holly Springs, most of his siblings continue to live there today, where his father is pastor of Tabernacle of Prayer Overcoming Church of God in Christ. Clinton attended Rust College in Holly Springs, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Print Journalism.

After earning his undergraduate degree, Clinton received a job offer at the Washington Afro-American newspaper in Washington, D.C., one of the nation's oldest African-American newspapers (113 years-old). In 1995, Clinton landed in the nation's capital. He soon began graduate studies at American University, where he earned a Master of Arts in Political Science, with a concentration in American government.

While completing his master's degree, Clinton worked full-time as a Legislative Analyst on the District of Columbia's City Council. Before that, he was a news assistant for three years at USA Today newspaper in Arlington, Virginia, where he wrote news features in the Life Section and occassional hard news stories for the News Section.

In July 2000, Clinton left USA Today to work as a political reporter for TV Technology Magazine in Falls Church, Virginia, where he covered the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) and Capitol Hill.

A five-year volunteer with the "I Have A Dream Foundation," which is a nationwide network of projects dedicated to keeping at-risk children in school, he has interned in the Political Analysis Office at the White House while in graduate school, and has successfully completed a one-year program as an AmeriCorp volunteer. He has also mentored students in local, urban schools.

Today, Clinton lives in Greenville and works with the Yazoo Community Action Angency, volunteers with the Greenville Youth Court, and mentors and tutors with the "I Challenge You" after-school program at Revels United Methodist Church.

Away from the campaign trail, Clinton enjoys reading, writing, and meeting new people.

I think my reflexes would keep my hand away from any "Clinton" on the ballot.
