Clinton may have killed more than the Democrat Party. He may have killed the republic as he taught the conservative party (GOP) how to get and keep power by triangulation and not leadership.

Didn't FR start a FReepers for Al club? I'm sure I saw it somewhere.
Prediction: The Nine Dwarfs will shrink to three stooges by March 1st. Here's how...
Al will marry Carol, Dennis will be abducted by aliens, John will lose his hair, Dick will get hit by a union milk truck, and Joe will assault algore at a bat-mitzvah.
The Deaniacs will eventually beg Mr. John F'g Kerry (he served in Vietnam ya know) to be the Veep.
At the convention, the 30% or so of Dems left out there, will draft Hillary to save the party (after speeches by the Forehead and Serpenthead). And when you think it's over...i42 comes out, drops trau, and moons the cameras.
Ok, I'm done now...really...

I think this is true. I think the DNC with its policy of triangulation was in place before the average rank and file Democrat knew it existed. They totally shafted the loyal labor vote with off shore production friendly policies that Clinton pushed even more than the Republicans. Also, a very large amount of the anti-Clinton sentiment on the right was due to Clinton's personal life rather than his politics. I for one can't accept the notion that oral sex from an intern in the Oval Office is acceptable behavior, and Clinton made the whole thing ten times worse by lying about it rather than admitting it. Without Clinton, FreeRepublic would be nothing like it is now.
