*WHINE*MOAN*GRUMBLE* Gerrymandering has gone on forever. Both sides do it every chance they get. The Dims are just in panic mode now because they've been losing all of the power they held for decades. The funniest part is, they're just too damned stupid to see that every reaction they have to it only hastens their devolution into a permanent minority party (figuratively and literally).

We thought: Surely they are not that bold? That arrogant? That mean? That power-hungry? Hey, he called us mean!

It kinda makes you wonder if it is possible for the party representing minorities can ever actually be a majority.

common courtesy, professional respect and the tradition of bipartisan cooperation in the Texas Senate. Yeah, that counted for a lot when the Democrats were in power, and produced one of the most astonishingly one-sided gerrymanders of the modern era.

Then when the first gerrymandered map surfaced ... The one that Frostie['s aide] stole from the state capitol ??

Oh, 'gerrymandered'. The one the 'RATS put together in the 90's. My mistake ! haha !

Redistricting is part of the political process. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Democrats can't stand to be out of power. Oh, well.
What amazed me is that liberal newsrags cannot recognize the fact that the DemocRats attempted to do something unconstitutional with their legal smoke-and-mirrors rigamarole in Florida in 2000.
What a bunch of liars.
To: jtminton
Although they cant admit it, liberals define diversity to mean everybody looks different but all must believe and act alike. In Texas, their delusional idea of diversity is running into a brick wall of reality. Texas has a very diverse population from various ethnic and racial backgrounds, but the majority does not believe or act as liberals must. Its absolutely eating Texas liberals up inside to see their definition of diversity exposed as a fantasy and fraud.

Like this is something the Republicans in Texas have newly invented? Redistricting for political advantage has been around longer than our nation's Constitution. Democrats in Texas have been in charge for as long as anyone alive today has been roaming the earth and they've gerrymandered the state's districts just as egregiously to their favor when they could.
All of a sudden now that it's Republicans doing the rearranging, it's somehow the most horrendous, mean-spirited, racist, power-hungry, and self-serving act in the world.
Let's remind them of all their caterwaling next time they're back in charge and rearrange the districts to their favor.

Nothing sounds better than the whining, moaning, groaning and gnashing of teeth by the liberals.
Texans are puttng these wonderful sounds into a great musical work!
Keep it up for at least a decade.
