EAST LANSING -- Attorney General Mike Cox said Friday he does not plan to run for governor in 2006.
Cox, a Republican, said he decided to announce that he will seek re-election in an effort to smooth things over with the administration of Democratic Gov. Jennifer Granholm.

I hope he doesn't run. I like the guy, but I doubt he can win. Not because of views, but because of his past and his penchant for opening his trap. It's great for what he does, but I expect him to get "Fieger" results. He's win Ottawa and Livingston counties and that's about it.
I never believe anything that comes after such a contradiction.
