Conservative website StopDemocrats.com has produced in association with CML Productions (www.cmlinternet.com) an anti-Howard Dean ad to counter-attack the many anti-Bush ads being produced by liberal websites such as MoveOn.org. The ad takes on the controversy surrounding Howard Dean's management of Vermont's only nuclear power plant that was given the worst security rating among the nation's 103 reactors.

Here is a transcript of the ad:

Former Governor Howard Dean wants to be president of the United States. He claims President Bush is weak on Homeland Security for fighting the war on terror from two fronts.

Yet, according to documents obtained by The Associated Press, Mr. Dean was warned repeatedly as Vermont governor about security lapses at his state's nuclear power plant, Vermont Yankee, and was told the state was ill-prepared for a disaster at its most attractive terrorist target.

In 1998 in a federal security test, mock terrorists sneaked a fake gun past security and six times scaled, undetected, the plant's security perimeter fence.

Security was so lax at Vermont Yankee the Nuclear Regulatory Commission gave Vermont Yankee the worst security rating among the nation's 103 reactors.

During Dean's final year in office, an audit concluded Dean's administration was poorly prepared for a nuclear disaster.

Talk about weak on Homeland Security.....

If Howard Dean can't secure a nuclear power plant in his own state, how can he ensure the security of this country?

My question to you is: Given the latest blunders of the current administration (MediScam increases and amnesty for illegal immigration), when are you going to form StopRepublicansDotCom?

Besides that, the obvious retort to your ad is: How can we trust the security of the United States to a man who let himself be led into a war by a convicted con man (cue images of Ahmad Chalabi & Bush).

I have a feeling that most Republicans feel an irresistable urge to contribute to Dean. I wonder if most of his financial support will dry up suddenly and inexplicably after Dean wins the primary?
