Constitution Party

I like what I see too. I've had enough of Bush's "compassionate conservatism" and spineless Republicans. Time for a change.

Illegal immigrants cost the taxpayers $20 billion every year.

34 percent of legal Mexican immigrants are on welfare right now.

25 percent of illegals are as well.

This number will rise with the amnesty.

Most illegals are willing to work hard, but as the numbers prove, millions are not.

Bush liked to say he admired Reagan. For what?

"Bush won the election by virtue of a massive shift back to the GOP by American citizens of Cuban descent in the aftermath of the Elian Gonzalez fiasco."

Oh really?

How strong has Bush remained in that select community of voters?

He won't get any new Hispanic votes

I tend to agree with you. GWB is out in no-mans land on this one. The left says he hasn't gone far enough and most conservative says he went too far.

Maybe he's just trying to get more of the soccer mom vote.

Simply go after the employers.

Don't you think it is odd that this aspect was not part of the plan. There was no mention of penalties for not using the "new" work visa's. So therefore I contend that illegal workers will continue to work as illegals to avoid having to pay Uncle Sam while the new visas will be used for higher paying jobs that typically require a work visa.

"Huh? Where did you pull that quip from. I'll say your posterior orifice"

It was called "Operation Keelhaul", a good friend of mine in the US Army at the time was in charge of a portion of it.

And for all those who want a great wall on the border...the one in China didn't stop the Mongols...how will a Mexican wall stop the illegals?

Maybe because they didn't have machine guns?

(don't forget we have a wide open border to the north!)

If you can build one wall, why not two?

Bush won the election by virtue of a massive shift back to the GOP by American citizens of Cuban descent in the aftermath of the Elian Gonzalez fiasco.

There is no doubt that Bush needed every vote in Florida to win that state. Panhandle or Miami.

I wonder if Bush actually carried Florida by a much bigger margin but voter fraud by democrats made it look much closer. We had problems with democratic voter fraud here in St. Louis which may had been a factor in a couple of races that year.

Same here. All I think this will do is to encourage more people to enter this country illegally hoping to get in on this deal.

I would guess that if any group of people who would be angry at GWB is the legal immigrants who waited in line and followed the rules.

About 3,000,000 or so new "border guards," just to close the Mexican border.

Why don't we just hire the illegals to guard the border, cheaper huh?

And what compassionate liberal Democrat nominee would have signed the Partial Birth Abortion bill? Hmmm?

And just how many of those have been prevented? Hmmm?

"Naivete seems to be your forte." is that the best you can do? I told you how the border could be secured for less than 1 billion a year after you said someone told you it couldn't be secured for 100 billion and all your response was "Naivete seems to be your forte." you're not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer are you? your forte appears to be stupidity! ROFLMAO

If stopped at the street tomorrow, could you prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that you were in fact an American citizen

D@mned straight. I have a SS card in my wallet issued to me more than 50 years ago. I also have a birth certificate, and it only cost me $3.00, of course it is a legal one.

I think this policy has very little to do with solving the "illegal immigration" issue. What this is an H-1B replacement policy wrapped up in an illegal immigration solution package. Illegal immigrants have absolutely no incentive to sign up for these visa's. They already are working here and getting paid under the table and they do not have to pay taxes. Most likely they are getting paid better as illegal. What this is a work visa program that will enable any company to hire any worker from any country in America. This is his gift to corporate America, he added the aspect about illegal immigrants so that the real issue is not even on most peoples radar screen.

Bingo, and Bump

His "base" does not consist of the 3% that will vote third party next election.

Admit it, you are really Karl Rove right?

"Bush won the election by virtue of a massive shift back to the GOP by American citizens of Cuban descent in the aftermath of the Elian Gonzalez fiasco."

Humble, aren't we? I recall citizens of Cuban descent showered with abuse all during the 1990's bcause they remained staunchly Republican while the majority of Hispanics were politically hijacked by the pro-Marxist La Raza crowd who backed the Democrats.

This is not just about upholding law and national sovereignty. It's about preserving the dream that hundreds of thousands of our fighting men (and now women) laid down their lives to preserve, the hardships and sacrifices our ancestors endured and the ideals America's founders staked everything they had on. That investment is not a political chess piece available to politicians seeking corporate or minority favor.
