Another article about other red-headed mummies.
The Curse Of The Red-Headed Mummy
Also, I read recently that the incident of red-headedness in Libya is the same as it is in Ireland. (strange)

So, this would have happened during the Medieval Warm Period, when the Vikings' SUV's triggered global warming?

"So, this would have happened during the Medieval Warm Period, when the Vikings' SUV's triggered global warming?" Apparently they've been there for a while.

"What about Phoenicians? Any red-heads among them?" I've read here on FR from FReepers that Phoencian is a Greek word that means 'red-headed.'

When those Celts finally got to the rain-soaked bogs, they must have thought they were in Heaven...

Some proto-Celts probably wound up in N. Africa.

The name comes from the same root as phoenix, the bird that is reborn in fire. Ever wonder how the Phoenicians came to be called that? Wouldn't have anything to do with surviving a volcanic eruption, would it?

"Some proto-Celts probably wound up in N. Africa." I've read that at one time all of North Africa and the Middle-East was dominated by blonde and red-headed people. I don't know.
They may have been related to the Gaunches on the Canary Islands too.

"Wouldn't have anything to do with surviving a volcanic eruption, would it?" I'm the only one allowed to make wild unfounded speculations on this thread, lol. Could be?
