ALBANY - An upstate judge has resigned after allegations that he called domestic violence cases a "waste of the court's time" and said that women ask to be "smacked around," the state Commission on Judicial Conduct revealed yesterday.
The state panel yesterday formally closed its investigation into Robert Hamley, a judge in Hunter Village Court in Greene County.

All the credible studies out there show that domestic violence is about evenly divided between the sexes, and that it is usually a matter of " a dance of mutual destruction".
The poor innocent woman that is the victim of the bestial guy, through no fault of her own, is a tiny, tiny percentage of the cases, and it is matched by equal horror stories of men abused by women.
In an agreement with the state, he promised not to seek another judgeship.
According to commission documents, Hamley, who isn't a lawyer and runs his own business.
Hamley, 50, had been a village judge since 1997. His term was set to expire next year.
Question???,
How in the Heck does someone ever become a "Judge" if you don't know squat about Law???
Maybe because...
