Sorry. Ignorant babble alert needed.

Japan followed the low-tax non-welfare-state road to success in the 1960s and 1970s... then in the 1990s they tried Keynesianism to cure a bust. It failed. Hence, malaise.

Conclusions: Low taxes work; keynesianism doesnt.

Is there any index showing Japan's public and private debt. They had bitten the credit bug and wonder if they have had mustered the courage to buy out of it.
