I was talking with a friend of ours who works in Arizona in the Border Patrol. He said the ONLY way to stop the flow is military. Period. He also said 1/2 the Border Patrol guys have been sent up north, because pre-9-11, there was, in all practicality, no border patrol on the northern border. The pay is crap, overtime endlesss (no family time) and corruption is rampant. Heaven help us.

I personally know a Border Patrol agent who was transferred from San Ysidero to the Canadian border. I suppose that border is considered more "dangerous."
