since I just read a post that said he IS going to pay SS taxes for them. From the way I understood it, the temporary workers will pay in to be credited in their home country. And they must return home permanently to collect it.

This situation with the illegals is causing me to get extrememly upset. I just got deleted, because I called someone a 'goofball' for them questioning if I advocated blowing people up/killing them at the border.
I am going back to lurking here. I can't handle watching the country go down the toilet and be overly polite about it at the same time.

I know several people that worked for landscaping companies, and they were white, know three ladies that started janitorial services, all three were American born. Most of the employees were and are white, until the last few years, now they pay really low wages, and are stocked full of spanish speaking people. Must be a new laziness that has snuck in the last three or four years(tongue firmly in cheek.)

First of all, one of the things hinted at is that we are going to start enforcing the law against those who hire illegals now. There will no longer be an excuse to do that. Second, if they are not employed, they must go home. That's going to be easy to check and easy to enforce. Third, I think they are about to get dead serious about enforcing the borders. This is all in preparation for it.That's what they want you to think, but it won't happen.
15 years from now they'll be another 10-15 million illegals on top of the 10-15 million that are getting amnesty

"Does that make Bush any less responsible for suggesting it in the first place? He's going to loose the election if he keeps pissing off his base."
I am part of his base too and I intend to vote him back into office. I will never forget the 8 years we had a Democrat as President. I will never forget what that did to this country culminating in the deaths of 3,000 citizens.

Where are the plans to instantly tract these millions of illegals (now *rewarded* by being made legal) ??
Third, after three years the worker must go back home and then can re-apply. >>>>>>>>
"Anchor Babies" keep them from being deported NOW, in 3 yrs. many will have their own 2/3 'anchor babies'.
Fifth, enforcement against employers hiring anyone not in the temporary worker program will be strong.>>>>>>>>
*If* we can then *enforce* against employers, why can't we do it NOW ??

My husband is Hispanic, speaks Spanish when needed, but doesn't force it on our children. My MIL, on the other hand uses every opportunity to teach it to them.

It's not like Bush just waved a magic wand. There WILL be debates and hearings. Right. But the concept of normalizing illegals has accrued an enormous amount of moral force now that Bush has rolled it out.
Sadly, the issue is no longer a matter of 'if' but 'when'.
Contrast that with where the idea of amnesty would be this minute if Bush had instead reitereated his intention to enforce the rule of law as they are currently written.

Didn't you forget those who obey the law, specifically those dealing with immigration? Suuuure, and I bet you've never exceeded the speed limit. As was the case with the Double Nickel, the law doesn't reflect reality.

**Pay for jobs should NOT be set based on a reasonable or living wage. They should be based on market competition. Anything other than that is pure socialism. **
Then perhaps you could do some economic research on the California Ag area, namely Salinas. About $75k a year would be a safe wage...maybe.

BTW, what is he doing now?

Great for the elite who can now pay extremely low wages to their maids, landscapers etc, bad news for those who are just beginning their trek up the economic ladder. One more effort to destroy the average American. They view us as contemptible serfs, anyway. As long as they have cheap servant labor, they don't care what happens to us
To: Flyer
Doesn't sound bad to me. But what is the plan to go after the illegals who choose NOT to register? How are they going to round them up?
To: CA Conservative
Do you really believe that they will be deported?

I should have guessed that your misplaced anger is due to your inability to find a job - I should say a job you are willing to do for the money they are paying you.
C'mon yourself. There is absolutely no reason that you cannot find work...unless you are not willing to get paid what they are offering or you are not willing to move or you are...etc. etc.
In summary legalizing the ability of an illegal to work has nothing to do with your not being able to find work. Stop blaming everyone but yourself.
