I threw this in Breaking News, because it addresses a pressing forum issue, and seemed appropriate for that purpose. You may want to move it, though.

I have noticed a lot od deleted posts on some of these immigration threads.
I don't know what was said because I always seem to get there after they are deleted.
I do suspect it has something to do with the outright anger and frustration we feel over the outright betrayal of our country by this administration which I used to admire.

I know you didn't like the idea of mines being planted along the border, but what about my cross-border catapult idea, for use in returning illegal aliens to their country of origin? Isn't that a cooler idea?

My friend,
I know I expressed frustration to you via mail earlier today, and said it would be nice if someone spoke up in defense of what we've been trying to do.
This exceeded my hopes and expectations. Thank you sincerely. LM

I'm probably in the minority with my thoughts on this thread with my personal thoughts about immigration. However, I don't really see what is wrong with a rough and tumble exchange. Those that call name are usually shown to be the shallow people that they are. Those that can't handle being called names I would categorize in the same way. Let the free market of ideas and debate flourish. No need for either side of this debate to ask Lead Mod to play soloman in this saga.

I will make an offer, for today and today only.
If you see a "comment removed by moderator" and are curious as to what was there and why it was removed, freepmail me a link to the thread and give the comment number and I will personally respond. This goes for you, or for anyone.
Regards.

I think I've seen this on the Flintstones. :)

I saw a lot of the posts that were pulled....anger and frustration is one thing; racial epithets, vicious attacks, and the like are another.
The posts that were pulled deserved to be pulled.

Please don't let your tears and broken heart cloud our discussion of an important topic - how should immigration threads be treated so we all benefit from the debate.

I asked TPTB if there was going to be one thread today specifically for the news conference/announcement, and they said that they weren't going to corral it.
I'm as interested in this issue as most people here are, but I won't wade into the fires of H#ll to discern the information.
I'll get a few of my favorite FRiends for a live thread later on today, and those who are cubically limited.

I think the proper term is trebuchet, not catapult. 8-)

Thanks for posting this, Sabertooth. It is certainly being talked about.

LM, for someone who takes his head into the jaws of alligators when you step into an immigration thread, I have the highest regard and a LOT of empathy for ya.
