The Mexicans are really bright people

As evidenced by the raving sucess and prosperity of Mexico. And the whole of Latin America-South America for that matter.

From Post #153... (forgive me, I am not sure how to do all of the fancy formatting)

Contrary to stereotypes, there is no evidence that immigrants come to this country to receive welfare. Indeed, most studies show that immigrants actually use welfare at lower rates than do native-born Americans. For example, a study of welfare recipients in New York City found that only 7.7% of immigrants were receiving welfare compared to 13.3% for the population as a whole. Likewise, a nationwide study by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics found that 12.8% of immigrants were receiving welfare benefits, compared to 13.9% of the general population.

I just wont vote for the president period. Or I may write in my own candidate. This is a choice of the lesser of two evils but I believe Bush can not be trusted anymore - and yes I am dissapointed - I had such high hopes for Bush.

Actually he is trying to solve a problem. How are you going to deport 8 million people? One country in modern times did that, nazi germany. I am surmising that is your model.

Cut off ALL benefits to illegal aliens while at the same start cracking down hard on companies that hire illegal aliens, and the illegal aliens will then start "deporting" themselves.

And yuo would do this even if the election were a toss-up where people who think as you could throw the election to Howard Dean? You seriously think that would be better? The Democrats would be laughing all the way to the White House.

Personally I would rather not cut off my nose to spite my face.

We are heading to the abyss. I say take the brakes off and let's just get there and get it over with and let the chips fall where they may.

Giving illegal aliens these benefits only assures us that they are going to pour into this country at faster rates. You don't reward criminals and I'm sick of politicians ignoring what the people of THIS country want.

BTW.....illegal aliens have murdered US citizens and Mexico refuses to hand these people over. You can't have it both ways. You can't expect to work and live here if you are not going to be held accountable to the laws like everyone else is.

At least Mexicans work --- there's a bunch of porch setters that collect welfare that won't pick up the trash in their own yards.

Thanks. I don't know where the LP came up with their figures (#153), but they are plainly incorrect.

The **Heritage...the Heritage which built America..the Money from Families of Great Britian and Europe.
Yes the Red coats where sent packing....but the Family money stayed..infact Economic and fiscal relationship with England grew after the war of Independence.

The Families accepted the new political reality..and worked quietly in the background...amending law to support their investment path...so too..they gave money..introduced monies into the Gov..State and Civic level to build their fortunes .

In time these Families multiplied outward...Railroads..shipping..Insurance/Re-Insurance..Banking..Weapons etc.
Following the history of economic/fiscal law in America reveals these relationship ties.

The CFR is this machinery's child....there are others.

The foundation is England and Europe...but now surely it is American..with some percentage still finding its way back to the Banking which backed the beginnings of America.

They learned that Power was not just money...lasting power was to influence thinking.

Some have said they can give you a war..and make you back it.
Then turn it off...and make you [believe]think you turned it off

Now they are moving monies out of America...

New peoples to meet....new peoples to influence. : )

It would be interested to see the statistics for only immigrants that are working. These are the ones covered by the Presidents plan, correct?

Do you make a distinction between "citizens" and "illegal aliens"?

Using your same source..... You can see that the unemployment rate for foreign born is lower than native born.....

http://www.cis.org/articles/2003/back167.gif

You can take statistics to prove any point you want. Especially from this "think tank" site that openly admits it wants much lower immigration.
