I think I'd smuggle mine from Mexico if the internet didn't exist. All my friends order off the internet too so my state loses all that tax money that they were so greedy for.

The lawmakers were looking at a gift horse in the mouth, but that wasn't good enough for them.  They became gluttons thinking they "had the smokers by the balls," not realizing that we smokers are not sheep!  It's the American way to shop cheap!  If there's a way to buy cigarettes at a reasonable price, we smokers WILL find it.  It IS still a legal product!!!!!

What are you doing up this early, She?
I mean, I know that you don't need beauty sleep but sheesh.

We said from the beginning of the exorbitant tax that the black market would be controlled, mainly, by organized crime but there will be a limited time when independents can make money.

I was dreaming of YOU, Joe, and had to get up. heh!  What are YOU doing up this early???

The lawmakers looked a gift horse in the mouth, but that wasn't good enough for them.  They become hogs thinking they could feed at the honey pot of the smoker's wallets.  We sure are showing them, aren't we?

I'm working. Pulling all nighters for three or four days a week for the next 5 or 6 weeks.

Just as long as your getting paid double for the "grave yard shift!"

The NYPD formed a new unit, the Cigarette Interdiction Group, to handle the expected upturn. Yet 146 arrests, and the seizure of $250,000 and some 6 million cigarettes, seem to have had little deterrent effect.

What do the cops sell them for? Or do they just smoke them? It's not like they're just going to throw them out.

Bloomberg could have found something a bit more worthwhile for these guys to pursue. What an absolute waste of time.

Another Tobacco related Crime, Drive by Smoking!!I have seen no mention of the latest second hand smoke threat, the drive by smoking. In many areas of the country this horrendous crime is on the upswing. A perfectly healthy smoke gnatzie (5'4" 275 lb) is standing on a street corner. Suddenly a car stops with the windows down and smokers inside waiting for the light to change. While this is happening the smoke gnatzie is exposed to huge amounts of second hand smoke. The light changes and the criminals drive away. Who can the smoke gnatzie sue for damages? In most cities these crimes are committed by smoke gangs, "The Menthols, The Non-Menthols, The Filters, The Non-Filters, The Regulars, and The Kings. Something must be done and soon. If not for us all, for the children.
