One can be Middle Eastern and not Arab, right ?
He writes of Arab translators and keeps repeating middle easterns as if all Middle easterns are Arabs.
Or is he saying that only Arab Middle Easterns are the problem?

Wasn't there a thread on FreeRepublic a while back about how our gov't wouldn't hire Jews to work as translators?
Many Jews are very fluent in Arabic. It is not very different from Hebrew.
But the gov't didn't want to hire Jews to translate, because it would piss off the Arabs, do I remember that right?
Time to sort your friends from your enemies, that is not a simple task,,,

Edmonds was fired by the FBI And we only have Edmonds' version as to why. I'd say withhold judgment on this -- these charges are very hard to believe. The alternative -- that Edmonds is a disgruntled former employee who was fired for cause -- has to be considered.

re: "Remarkably, agents don't even have direct security access to the translation unit, Edmonds says. They have to be escorted into the area by translators."
Isn't that kinda like not allowing anyone in to tend the sheep, unless a wolf escorts them in?

these charges are very hard to believe. That statement is hard to believe. If so many Americans, born here, with their life invested here, are so willing to undermine our security, (just visit any 'anti-war' protest, or your local Democrat chapter) it's an easy stretch to believe this story.

Never underestimate the incompetence of governments. Never underestimate the vindictiveness of a recently-fired employee.

Remember, the FBI had a Russian spy sitting in FBI HQs for 15 long years and never knew it. No one was sacked for that little "error". Why should FBI lose any sleep over this, just fire the malcontent.

One has to work many years for the Federal government to fully understand how vindictive the government is. There is a reason, the government burrowcrats protect "THEMSELVES' first, last and always.

And remember on who's watch these people were probably hired.
