Fox News has jumped even further out in front of once dominant CNN, grabbing an astonishing 53 percent increase in viewership and drubbing the rival cable news network's 24 percent increase. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Nielson ratings show that Fox's viewership last year jumped from 667,00 to 1,023,000 while CNN scored a mere increase of 129,000 viewers, from 536,000 to 665,000.
MSNBC did even worse, getting a 22 percent increase, from 263,000 to 320,000.
Fox's increase in Prime Time viewership was even more dramatic, leaping by a staggering 45 percent as against CNN's 22 percent and MSNBC's 23 percent.
According to the Journal Constitution, Fox widened its lead over CNN averaging 1.02 million viewers at any given moment.
This is a 53 percent increase from the year before while CNN averaged 665,000 viewers, a 24 percent increase.
Critics may scoff at Fox's claim of being fair and balanced, but viewers seem to be voting with their remote controls.

Thanks for the post. I'm going to be real curious to see how they can possibly spin this one. Only thing that comes to mind might be vague references to vast right wing conspiracies...or perhaps alien possession. Not sure, it's hard to slip into a twisted leftist mindset.

I haven't watched cnn since fox became available in my area.
cnn just doesn't get it. As long as they keep a liberal slant on the news and go out of their way to promote the liberal and gay agendas I will keep them off my tube.

Since Fox News came to my attention, I abandoned the democrat infested liberal Clinton News Network.
When Bush landed on an aircraft carrier and CNN riticuled it on a restaraunt TV set, I talked to the manager (a VET) and he agreed to set it to Fox from then on.
It's no surprise that Network and liberal conglomerates are failing. They don't care about their audiences. They said they would ignore the Nielson ratings and Fox stepped into the void.
Go Fox!

Just spent 10 days in Hawaii and both hotels carried FOX which was a fantastic surprise. Usually the hotels carry CNN...upscale ones probably got lots of complaining.

I'm waiting to see if CNN tells Pauza Zahn she's going to have to show more skin in order to attact more viewers.

HAH!
After 9-11, they installed TVs all over my work's breakrooms and offices and set them all to CNN. One year later they switched them all to FOX. It's been that way ever since!
WOO-HOO!!!

Whenever I am in a hotel and they do not carry Fox News, I complain voiciferously and I write it out on one of the evaluation forms.
Must be working. Good thing for all of us to do, I guess.
