My 8-week-old son's Social Security card recently arrived in the mail. On the back, there's a stern warning: "Improper use of this card or number by anyone is punishable by fine, imprisonment or both."

While innocent babes who have yet to earn a penny are threatened with jail time for misusing Social Security cards, the Bush administration appears set this week to turn the ailing government pension program into an international relief fund for illegal alien workers who used counterfeit Social Security cards and stolen numbers to secure illegal jobs.
Unlike the bedtime stories I tell at night, I am not making this up.
This belated gift to the open-borders lobby and Mexican President Vicente Fox is part of a larger amnesty plan that has been in the works since before the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. So, why exactly are we rewarding a country that has been obstinately opposed to the War on Terror? Go ask Mr. Brilliant, Karl Rove. This I do know: It couldn't have come at a worse time from either a fiscal or national security standpoint.
According to Rep. Clay Shaw, R-Fla., chairman of the House Ways and Means subcommittee on Social Security, benefits paid to retirees will exceed revenues in just 15 years. The pay-as-you-go system could go belly up as early as 2030. These projections don't take into account the economic impact of the Bush proposal, which would allow untold millions of illegal aliens from Mexico to collect full cash benefits for themselves and their families from their home country -- without having to work the required number of years that law-abiding American citizens must work to be eligible for payouts.
Reporter Joel Mowbray, who first exposed this treachery a year ago, noted that this raw deal may well cost overburdened U.S. taxpayers $345 billion over the next 20 years. Probably much more. As we know from experience, Social Security projections are notoriously off the mark.
The bureaucrats call this scheme "totalization." Try total prostration. The proposed agreement is nothing more than a transfer of wealth from those who play by the rules to those who willingly and knowingly mock our own immigration and tax laws. What are we doing promising lifetime Social Security paychecks to day laborers in Juarez when we can't even guarantee those benefits to workers here at home?
Unbelievably, the White House is trying to convince us to embrace this global ripoff because it "rewards work." No, it rewards criminal behavior. The plan will siphon off the hard-earned tax dollars of American workers who may never see a dime of their confiscated earnings and fork it over to foreigners guilty of at least four acts of federal law-breaking: crossing the border illegally, working illegally, engaging in tax fraud and using bogus documents.
Giving money to scam artists will simply result in more fraud -- not only by Mexican agricultural workers, but also by Middle Easterners such as Youssef Hmimssa, who provided fake Social Security numbers and fraudulent drivers' licenses to members of an accused terrorist cell in Detroit. "If you have the right connection, you can get anything," he testified before the Senate last fall.
The door is now open for all illegal aliens to collect retirement benefits using bogus Social Security cards. What's next: survivors' benefits for the families of the 19 Sept. 11 hijackers?

Immigration is vital to prosperity

America is an immigrant nation. As President, I will recognize and respect the vital role immigrants have played in building the American Community.
Candidate Bush promised that he would be a different kind of Republican, supportive of immigrants and their desires to achieve the American Dream. Candidate Bush promised to revamp the naturalization process so that immigrants who met the requirements could obtain their citizenship in six months or less. Unfortunately, President Bush has not kept these promises.
While he made these promises, his Attorney General John Ashcroft was deputizing local police authorities as junior INS agents to track down undocumented immigrants. He has ignored the dreams of millions of immigrants to become a legitimate part of our society, and not simply its unseen workforce.
As President, I will work to ensure that people who work hard, pay taxes, and otherwise obey the rules can become full participants in our society, including becoming citizens. I will work to regularize the migration of labor in a way that makes economic and humanitarian sense. Deaths in the desert do neither. I will propose reforms that ensure we can meet our economy's need for workers at all skill levels, without pitting foreign workers against U.S. workers and while respecting workers' rights -- including the right to organize.
I will work to ensure that immigrants who are detained by the Department of Homeland Security are afforded their basic civil rights. I will build on our country's long history of welcoming immigrants in ways that reflect our need for security but do not sacrifice the basic ideals upon which this nation was founded.
Immigrants create demand rather than take jobs away Four worries drive most of the opposition to immigration: JOBS: A new immigrant brings with him a need for products and services-which his job gives him the money to buy. So the immigrant has no net effect on the competition for jobs or the level of wages. Immigrants don’t take jobs away from Americans. They increase the demand for labor and they help meet that demand.
CULTURE: The answer to the culture problem isn’t to keep immigrants out, but to restore the America of free individuals, each responsible and self-governing. Immigrants will embrace our culture more quickly when government stops trying to dissolve it.
NOT ENOUGH ROOM: The US is still a country of wide open spaces. America could triple its population without our existing cities growing any faster than they do now.
Maintain open borders; end war on immigration End welfare, so that America attracts productive immigrants, rather than people who want to live off the taxpayers. Maintain open borders and a free market--so that America is a haven for people who want to produce in freedom. Government doesn’t work, and a government War on Immigration will be no more successful than the War on Poverty or the War on Drugs.
Wouldn't it be ironic if all the Free Traitors™ got their SS acounts hijacked through this program?
Having Americans own all the land and able to make money from exploiting the natural resources and labor pool would at least provide us with some compensation for all the trouble we get from unidirectional border removal.

Fine, put the "unappeasable" label on it if you like. Us who are concerned about the eroding Constitutional protected rights will still have our voice heard. Chuckle your way to the socialism that is growing in both parties. Have your laugh. Just remember, you will be one of the "uappeasable" when the RIGHT that you cherish has been abridged. It's happening daily.
Questions: Ask our deceptive President when will we have the 3rd and final amnesty. What will the numbers be and what color flag will be flying over the White House when it happens?
