Hugh Hewitt had on his show today Rabbi Marvin Hier from the Simon Wiesenthal Center in Los Angeles. Like many Jewish leaders, the Rabbi was outraged that move on dot org compared Bush to Hitler.
Below is the story regarding the half-hearted apology and excuse made by move on dot org. Are they lying to the Rabbi? You decide.
Here is the beginning of the responses by FReeper Prodigal Son . He may have caught them in a lie to the Rabbi. First read the apology, then we'll explain.

By pulling the source code, Prodigal Son was able to determine that the 15 finalists each have a number. Strangely, No. 2 is missing. It goes from No. 1 to No. 3. Run your curser over it, and you can see the URLs. The issue raised by Prodigal Son is that he surmises that the Hitler video was intended to be a finalist and labeled as No. 2. When they started feeling the heat, they pulled it. He surmises that it was not a simple oversight.

Also, there is a slight clue in the HTML source code. The way it looks to me (if my code reading is right) they had the ads rigged as a table. They already had it set up for the cells to load whatever image was named number 2, number three etc. This loading would happen from a cache of images. But if they had simply gone in and removed the image from the cache, they would have had an empty table cell. The only away around that is to rewrite the code for the whole table.
But there is a short cut. They just went in and whacked that table cell out of the code. That way, there is no cell wanting to load image number 2 when it's not there. The first cell wants to load "1", the second cell (being bumped up in the code due to the cutting of the second cell) now loads number three and there is no empty cell.
The giveaway is in the code. The rest of the code is clean and regular. There is a gap in the code where that cell used to be. It stands out, if you consider how the rest of the code is nice and regular. Give it a look.

They're shabby Stalinists, and like all Stalinists, they have no problem with lying to clergymen.
The way that table was set up, if they were pressed for time, the easiest way to fix it would be to cut the offending cell out. They could then just add a cell at the bottom of the table. It's an easy fix and totally legitimate. Nothing at all wrong with that and it's not even shoddy authoring. It's just a shortcut. But it leaves signs. One little one being the gap between the lines of the code when you don't see that anywhere else in the table.
Why would an author begin a table like this with the number one and then go to number three, then four, five etc? If you were making this table fresh not knowing really what was going to wind up in it, you'd number 'em chronologically One, Two, Three. It makes no sense to skip a number.
But the thing is, the images also have an English name attached- one word that lets the authors organize the files. For example- the first film is called "Child's Pay". The word the authors use on the file is "pay"- as in: pay_sm.jpg This is a good way to organize the images. It's simple, it's less confusing than a mere number.
This implies that whatever they had in cell number two (which is no longer there) had a link to a still image that had a one word identifier which would've corresponded with the name of the film. This means that they would've had to look at the stills to name them and there is practically no way that they would have failed to see Hitler in there.
Since this is the finalist page we're talking about here and they had set the table up to load fifteen images (for the fifteen finalists), it means they knew the Hitler video was number two on the finalist page when they inserted the code on the page. Therefore they lied to the rabbi when they said they didn't know.
