Remove the financial incentive for them to come here. ie:

Anyone who hires an illegal and gets caught goes to jail.

Oh and BTW, the "who will work the fields" argument is bovine fecal material. I spent plenty of time slogging through the mud of midwestern fields while paying my way through college - but today I'd have to speak spanish.

Also, who "works the fields" in Europe? European agriculture seems to be doing just fine without illegal labor.

Actually Europe is worse off than the US.

Most of the farm work in Europe is done by migrants from North africa and the middle east and from the poorer countries in Eastern Europe.
