The announcement comes just before Bush’s scheduled meeting with Mexico’s President Vicente Fox next week at the Summit of the Americas in Monterrey, Mexico. Mexican officials have complained bitterly at times that while the Bush administration has sought their help with border security and combatting drug trafficking, they have not acted on their desire for favorable changes in U.S. immigration policy

F-T-A-A!

Dang. Our 1st Mexican POTUS is going to cave into Sr. Fox...

One year later.

ONE year? He's had four years, and we have several million more welfare-sucking illegal aliens strolling across the borders.

This will be a very interesting year on the illegal migrant front - VERY INTERESTING.

President Bush has nothing to fear in terms of political damage so now he is really going to show his cards.

He has shown his cards. Now we have to show our cards to our congress critters. Let them know that Charlie Brown ain't kicking the amnesty football again, no matter what they call it.

Hijacking planes is a completely different offense than immigrating illegally and most of them were here legally on visas anyway, fwiw.

We are a country with laws. The laws are in place for a reason. It's not a "conservative" attitude to decide which laws are worth enforcing and which ones are not.

What other laws do you favor ignoring for either personal or financial reasons?

This does call for close examination. This could very well be the "end run" around the legal and enforcible Immigration Statutes we have depended on to protect our borders. this Administration's refusal to abide with the established Law of The Land is what they are planning for "WE THE PEOPLE"!Remember also we represent more than 80% of the votes against "Amnesty In Any Form". The President has tipped his hand on this and now there is no doubt it is coming directly from his own initiation. No wonder all his yes men and women follow his lead on this by staying quiet and refusing to acknowledge the expressed "Will Of The People"!

He is planning on re-writing the Laws On The Books to ram this evil legislation down our collective throats. If you cannot see the evil plan being set in motion then get ready to lose all you have worked for all your lives and don't come crying later how you didn't know what was happening. You are fixing to lose your Butts and all its fixtures if you refuse to take action to impeach-recall or do what ever is called for to stop this aggression on life & Liberty!

Speak for yourself. Personally, I think we could use a few more Mexicans. Lots of golf courses and homes need building right now. Just because Americans think they are too good to build golf courses, mow lawns, and build houses is not really a good argument for keeping people out of the country when there is a lot of work sitting half done.

Let me help with a translation

Speak for yourself.  Personally, I think we could use a few more Mexicans am too cheap to pay fair wages to Americans.  Lots of golf courses and homes need building right now.  Just because Americans think they are too good to build golf courses, mow lawns, and build houses want a living wage, is not really a good argument for keeping people out of the country when there is a lot of work sitting half done I can employ desperate Mexicans at subsistence-level wages, and can pass the spillover costs to taxpayers.
