I guess I'll just have to wait and see exactly what the President does say...not what everyone else is saying he's going to say.

What is clear and present danger is the trend of "Zimbabweing" America. We are not talking about free trade and competition with Mexican workers here, we are talking about selective amnesty of illegals while the selective prosecution of AMericans for their federal IRS faults go on. THis leads to a direct tax on exporting American workers and a tax free zone for illegals importing labor, one zone renewed every 20 years or so between amnesties.

It also is a show that we do not want to open our eyes and we do not want to hunt the terrorists and spies inland. We know who they are and how they come here. Yet we do nothing about it. Illegal immigrants, all of them, are suspected spies and people who treat America and Americans through the social, political and legal systems like we are lab rats.

"...we are talking about selective amnesty of illegals..."

Yes, that is what "you" are talking about. The President hasn't said anything about amnesty yet.

As for the "Zimbabawing" thing I wouldn't worry about that too much. We imported them by the millions once it and didn't destroy this nation.

Again, when we open our eyes and do away with illegals, that will be the day we open our eyes and do away with any traitor, communist, illegals and what not inland. America might turn into a bloody civil war battlefield, but we have to do that. We have to open our eyes before we are struck a death blow while sleeping. Of course Bush et al want to prevent a civil strife from occuring, but it will have to occure and Congress might be inclined or might not be inclined to cave in, we will see, but this IS THE TURNING POINT ISSUE OF THIS CENTURY FOR AMERICA.

Either we do it and seek freedom through courage or we do not. The economy may end up suffering but that is better than a death blow while sleeping.

Yes --- even if we need immigrants --- I'm not sure we do, we'd be better off getting them from a variety of places. Legal immigration from Mexico is absurdly high --- more from just that one country than from anywhere else. What about discrimination on the basis of national origin? Why would foreign citizens from one national origin have more rights to come here than from other national origins?

A mixture of immigrants would prevent the Balkanization we're beginning to see, the immigrants themselves would soon see the advantage in learning a common language --- just like immigrants in the past did. We'd get back to the melting pot way of building our culture.
