Kennywood Park could increase admission costs in the future and offer less in new attractions because of an increase in West Mifflin's amusement tax, a park official said Monday.

West Mifflin Council last week approved changing the borough's amusement tax to a flat 5 percent. Before, the borough and the West Mifflin Area School District split 10 percent of the ticket cost or $1, whichever was less.

Kennywood?

Is that like "Dollywood," but it's devoted to South Park's Kenny?

How dare you compare Kennywood, to that trash cartoon "South Park", although a major recreational area in the Pittsburgh area has been called South Park for about 50 years. The Allegheny County fair was held there until the mid 70's.

Anyway to get back to Kennywood, I doubt that you will see Cartman as the figure a person has to be taller than to ride the Jack Rabbit. When I was a kid you had to be taller than the cartoon character "Henry" and then they changed it to Snoopy, then they changed it to Kenny Kangaroo.

"South Park" has effectively lampooned liberal ideas that desperately needed lampooning. It does it with a fair amount of bawdiness--but I know liberals who are in recovery because South Park turned their sacred cows into hamburgers. It may be bawdy--but I shan't call it "trash."

No, Kennywood as in Kenny Rogers or perhaps the Federal Prison that Ken Lay will be going.

That may have been true a couple of years ago, but Norman Lear, has joined hands with the South Park "creative team".

Oh yeah notice that there hasn't been a "God damn" as every other phrase in my reply.

"I think we're just looked at as a revenue stream for the borough."

Well duh! Everyone and everything within any government's jurisdiction is look at as a revenue stream for the government.

"With the earned income tax we're at the maximum level, the mercantile tax is frozen, the deed transfer tax is frozen, occupational privilege tax is frozen," Bednar said. "You don't have any flexibility."

What a total liar. It just shows the mindset of government apparatchicks. Of course you have flexibility SPEND LESS!

South Park is not trash. It is probably one of the greatest pieces of satire and commentary on the current political landscape, if not the greatest.
