My mistake -- when I said "you" I was referring to a generic "you" (i.e., "I don't know how one would measure a nation's standard of living . . .).

I listed Per-Capita GDP figures because that's probably the most common means of comparing living standards these days (despite some inherent inaccuracies in this figure that would take too long to explain).

For some odd reason, President Rove has annointed Vicente Fox with Golden Boy status. Mexico can do no wrong. Mexico must get what it demands, regardless of the costs to our nation.

Fox is just Bush's middleman.
