Charles Johnson at LGF has the outrageous details: "The guards were lured into a cell by a staged suicide attempt, then ambushed by the prisoners." He highlights this passage from the Reuters report: The detainees had slickened the floor of their block with feces, urine and soapy water in an attempt to trip the guards. They then assaulted the guards with broken light fixtures, fan blades and bits of metal, Which jibes exactly with what I reported last year:

Nina Shea, director of the Center for Religious Freedom at Freedom House, has a piece for the Washington Post on the hatred and Islamic supremacism that fills Saudi Arabian schoolbooksand the lies told by Saudi shills to cover it up: This is a Saudi textbook. (After the intolerance was removed.)
Freedom House knows this because Ali al-Ahmed, a Saudi dissident who runs the Washington-based Institute for Gulf Affairs, gave us a dozen of the current, purportedly cleaned-up Saudi Ministry of Education religion textbooks. Read the whole thing. Note the line about 12th-grade students being taught their duty is to wage jihad against the infidel.
These are the Saudi students now flooding back into American colleges, as the attacks of September 11 grow ever more distant.
"... nothing short of another 9/11 is going to wake this nation up..."
Iranian blogger Arash at Kamangir looked into yesterdays National Post story that Iran planned to force Jews to wear yellow badges: Kamangir: Badges for Jews, A Hoax! (Hat tip: Adloyada.)
The National Post has also backed down from the story: Experts say report of badges for Jews in Iran is untrue.
LGF noted the questions about the story a few hours after our original post, but I see that quite a few moonbat bloggers are trying to make an issue of this. Just so were all on the same page, looking at the same context, reading from the same reality-based netroots script if you will, heres an LGF Search for Ahmadinejad, to remind the left what hes actually been saying. http://littlegreenfo...
good post made earlier in the day by Catttt on this subject
UPDATE at 5/20/06 8:40:33 pm:
Heres Allahpundits post on the story, with numerous updates: Is the Iranian yellow-badges story true? Oh yeah, thats really somebody trying to hype a phony story.
LGF noted the questions about the story a few hours after our original post, but I see that quite a few moonbat bloggers are trying to make an issue of this.
What a shame those moonbat bloggers didn't read any of the first 49 posts in the original thread. If they had, they would have seen two posts in particular:
Fifteen minutes after Charles posted the thread, I posted #34.
Four minutes later, got milk? posted the same link at #49.
Other posters also posted links to articles questioning the report.
Less than 20 minutes passed before the accuracy of the original report was questioned in the comments. Charles took less than 4 hours to update the story.
In other words, the blogosphere worked. Information was posted, questioned and doubts noted - in next to time at all.
Thank you for the great effort.
