Good Morning LaDiva! Good morning to our military and good morning to the entire Canteen crew.
Warm up exercise for today . . . . "Your ISP may a little too slow if....."
1. Text on Web pages display as Morse Code and... Graphics arrive via FedEx.
2. You believe a heavier string might improve your throughput
3. You post a message to your favorite Newsgroup and it displays a week later.
4. Your credit card expires while ordering on-line.
5. Playboy web site exhibits "Playmate of the year"...for 1989.
6. You're still in the middle of downloading that popular new game, "Ping Pong".
7. Everyone you talk to on the 'net phone' sounds like Forrest Gump.
8. You receive e-mails with stamps on them.
9. You click the "Send" button, a little door opens on the side of your monitor and a pigeon flies out.

Good morning, LaDivaLoca(HUGS)How's it going for you?
A very pleasant good morning to everyone at the Canteen and all of our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your continued service to our country.
For those using Windows, just to let you know that a week from Today, Microsoft will release their January bulletein of critical updates. Be sure to download those updates when you can so your computer can continue to work properly to access the internet and FR.

Will You help keep the Candle Lit for our service men and women?
Can you spare a few moments today to either
e-mail them or learn about sending packages to them?
Many of them are away from home for the 1st time.
PLEASE Click on the graphic and help cheer them up.
You will stay right where you are on this thread while you write them.
Thank You

IMPORTANT NOTICE
The FR Canteen still and always has supported USO programs.
There is a misunderstanding by some that the FR Canteen
is opposed to the USO because of the name change at their request.
To dispel this rumor one only has to click on the FR Canteen Post Office
and see the same USO links that have been in there since Nov 2001.

Dear God:
I ask that no Airman, Coast Guardsman,
Marine, Sailor, Soldier or National Guardsman
Feel alone or forgotten.
Please guide the people of Free Republic to
The FR Canteen Post Office
So they can e-mail a service man or woman today.
AMEN
