It's simple logic when you think about it...

If you have a problem with the insects that invade your home because of the food you leave on your dining room table, Stop making the food available for them. Don't try to chase them away one by one while leaving the food on the table.

That's similar to what states like California have attempted to do, which is try and chase them away. But with the federal government mandating services such as health care and education their hands are tied.

It looks a little better than some blanket amnesty --- if a worker is to be matched to a job --- then if they don't lose a job will they leave? Like everything --- the devil is in the details --- do they get to bring the wife and kids.... and parents, and siblings, and whoever else? If they make too little for the family to live on, do they get food stamps? What happens for those who find seasonal jobs --- do they go back home in between or do they stay here and get on some government program? If they bring over 10 kids --- that's going to cost the taxpayers very much. If the wife or girlfriend gives birth -- does the family get to stay and collect a welfare check?

What happens to those who decide our government moves too slowly --- takes too long to process papers and just comes over the old-fashioned way -- on their own --- illegally --- and finds a job on their own? Would we have several sets of immigrants now? Legals, Guest worker legals, and the usual illegal?
