Jail employers who hire illegals and there will be no jobs for illegals, and the numbers will drop dramatically. Right now, employers skate with nothing more than a slap on the wrist

I know my answer does not cover all the issues of this problem, because most of the illegal aliens in this country are illegal becasue they stayed beyond their Visa.

But try asking some of the most vocal on this issue about proposing a National ID card!!!!!!, But before you do, Put on some Nomex Jammies before hand :-)

In the long term, the only way this problem of illegals coming here for work will go away forever is when the Mexican economy grows enough that the attraction to come here and work is no longer worth it

I haven't seen much evidence that California has tried to chase them away, and I'm a native of California. Arnold MAY try it. I hope so. I do not have a problem with immigrants; just with those who start breaking our laws as they cross our borders. I would even support an amnesty program for those who had jobs already, as long as they paid back taxes, and had a good recommendation from their employer. Of course, I'd also like to see the employer jammed for employing illegals, too. Oh, well, the fumes must be getting to me.
