Hart defends legislation aimed to protect fetuses

Opponents say the bill throws America onto a slippery slope headed toward outlawing abortion. Backers such as U.S. Rep. Melissa Hart say it's a matter of protecting pregnant women and their unborn children.

The Bradford Woods, Allegheny County, Republican introduced legislation last spring that would make it a crime to kill a fetus. It would be the first federal law to endow a fetus with legal rights separate from the expectant mother.

I'll never understand abortion-worship like NARAL's.
