January 5, 2004 -- Talk about quickie weddings. Only hours after exchanging vows at a Vegas wedding chapel Saturday morning, Britney Spears and her new hubby, childhood pal Jason Allen Alexander, arranged to have their marriage annulled, one of Spears' reps confirmed yesterday.

Trailer trash whore. 22 years old and her career is already over, just like her pal Madonna. She has to resort to making out with Madonna and quickie Vegas weddings to get noticed. By 25 no one will care about her at all; by 30 she'll be in rehab and her looks will be gone. The sooner she fades from public view entirely, the better.

I think this would have saved her... she seems to be on the Dennis Rodman/Carmen Electra path.... cocaine at a minimum is very close if not completely a part of the equation... I'm sure she has done LSD and X.

Just out of curiousity, I tried to find total sales of last CD. I wanted to know if there were that many people with bad taste. I think the sales tanked after the first couple of weeks, but no info.

Yeah, those writers love her. No shortage of stories and scandals (read: work) for them and we all need to make a living. It's like a 'bull' market everyday for them, pun intended.

Spears had been drinking a lot over the holidays - despondent over relatively poor sales of her "In the Zone" album.

She better get used to the feeling. The transition to appealing to older audiences simply just isn't going to happen, and pretty soon 13 year old girls will grab onto another teen idol.
