George Bush was not AWOL. That has been explained about a gazillion times on this site.

I still haven't seen any convincing evidence that he was present at his duty station during the questioned time. He also lost his flight status, something that usually requires an investigation, and nothing happened.

And, I haven't seen convincing evidence that you don't kick your dog. We would have to see convincing evidence that he was AWOL in order for your statement to be justified.
