Undocumented workers now pay billions of dollars annually into Social Security but do not collect benefits because they give their employers fraudulent Social Security numbers So basically, what they are telling us, and I don't even think they relize they are doing so, is social security is even more broke than we figured.

Yeah, you'd figure Socialist Security should have all these extra Billions that they're not paying out.

what I do not understand is where they get these "fradulent" numbers? do they just make them up? are the illegals paying into someone else's social security number "account"? or are the numbers totally false, and when the employer submits the payment under those totally false numbers, doesn't the social security administration kick back an alert that says, "we have no such person/number?".
let's face it, we aren't going to deport 10 million people out of the US forcibly, its just not going to happen. that's not to say they should get amnesty, they should not.
what is the middle ground answer to this? if we could layer enough taxes and beauracracy on employers who would hire these people (its amazing to me that employers hire illegals "on the books" and even submit SS paperwork for them), maybe we could create a natural dis-incentive for them to get employment here.
