Wallace never received a burial as his body was hung drawn and quartered and the remains burnt and scattered to the four corners of the country.
Well hellsbells, there you go; SCOTLAND is his resting place and monument.
I'm guessing he wasn't wild about the "drawn and quartered" part of his fate but I'll bet the dispersal of his remains to the four corners would have pleased Wallace.
