Kate Raphael, 44, is fighting a deportation order by the Israeli authoritiesShe is right, they should not deport her.... they should jail her for a few years instead.

"...where she was working with teams from the International Solidarity Movement" ISM is the Communist-front organization which also spawned Rachel Corrie.
This Ms. Raphael probably would like to mate with a bulldozer, as well.

Q: What do you call a Berkeley terrorist collaborator in an Israeli jail?
A: A good start.
To: Cultural Jihad
"Bay Area activists" is a euphemism for professional malcontents, either socialist, communist, or anarchist.

She should have been charged with a crime, like any Israeli would have been, and like any Israeli violating the law in the United States would be. By merely deporting these ISM criminals, they have no incentive to respect Israeli law.

Israeli officials say the "security fence" is needed to protect citizens from suicide bombings, but opponents call it an "apartheid wall" and say it will cut villagers off from needed services. But, but, how can the evil opressors be providing needed services? Isn't that Arafat's Job?!
Don't ya just hate to show your ID to pick up your welfare check?

UPDATE
Berkeley woman released from Israeli jail
By the Mercury News A Bay Area peace activist, jailed in Israel after a demonstration in the West Bank, was released Thursday evening by the authorities after posting bail.
Kate Raphael, 44, of Berkeley, has until Jan. 17 to appeal the deportation order she faces. A member of several international human rights groups, Raphael was arrested after participating in a non-violent protest in Budrus.
Raphael told the Mercury News she is fighting her deportation so that she can travel legally between the United States and the Middle East to continue her work.
``I hope that my legal case will help break down the Israeli policy of excluding people who are trying to document human-rights abuses,'' she said.
