I had a two year old run up and push me in the Smoke Shop today. Mama said, "now, darling, you know you aren't to push anyone."

Did the mother apologize?
If not, as my black sister would say, "Pick up the child and hit the mother with him."

Had a similar situation back some time ago. I was at an arcade playing games with my younger brother in tow. I was absorbed in the game when all the sudden I felt a fist punch me in the side.

It really hurt, and I thought it was my brother rough-housing a bit too much, so I spun around and sent my fist hurtling toward what would have been my brother's midriff.

I nailed this six-year-old kid right between the eyes. Sent him straight to the floor. The look of shock on his face told the whole story: he thought he was supposed to be able to do whatever he wanted and get away with it. And someone (me) had just lowered the boom (albeit unintentionally).

Later learned that the kid was a real terror. Funny, he was always very respectful to me after that day... ; )

welcome to the boring page.
this page was created in dos-edit. it is best viewed with whatever browser you happen to have handy.

this page is not under construction. it's gonna stay just like it is. forever.

all around the web, folks are trying to outdo one another, with "a little more this" and "a little more that".

not here.

we at the boring page just don't have the energy. in fact, it was all we could do to rustle up this thing.

we've even got boring source code. take a look, if you're one of those people who cares about code.

We don't even have a title in the top bar of your browser window. that's how boring this page is.

would you like to see some pictures? well, we don't have any. but, we've heard that some folks do. maybe you could bring us back some.

how about some javascript? would you like us to put on a little javascript show for you? sorry. we haven't really bothered to learn javascript yet.

see, people today are just too lazy. everywhere you go, it's "action, action, action."

not here.

here we rely on nothing but the printed word. yeah, it's boring, but at least we're not selling out to the flashy and the glamourous.

can you see the clickable image map? no? that's because we don't have one.

are you here to see our list of cool links? well, if you really need us to tell you other places on the web you can go, maybe you should turn off the computer now.

downloads? yeah, right.

let us know what you think of our site -- please fill out our feedback form, which will be delivered to...yeah, yeah, yeah...we crack ourselves up.

you think a neato cgi script would spice up the page? maybe a search engine of boring things or something. no -- that's probably not a good idea. we wouldn't want to rock the boat, would we? if it ain't broke, don't fix it. right?

that would probably be best. we'll just leave 'er like she is.

this has been the boring page. thanks for coming to see us, and don't get yourself hurt out there in that crazy modern, javascript, animated-gif-laced, slow loading world. whenever you need a couple of minutes of peace, just come back and see us.

we'll be here. ok, we'll do just one link. If you're wondering who made this page, you can click here.
