I like forward thinking posts such as yours. Why do you think future opportunities will be in those areas you mentioned above?

I am a very successful investor because I think like Jules Verne.

I don't look back.

I see early trends.

Biomechanics when baby boomers are aging and rich.
Replacement and enhancement surgery.
Personal transportation devices.
Recreation.

Nanotechnology
Miniturization of high tech devices to molecular levels.
Imagine a swarm of programmed nanomachines injected into clogged arteries with the function of scouring-out placque down to the artery wall or programmed to attack cancer cells, one by one..
Imagine nanobuilding blocks matched to the DNA of a patient and programmed to repair damage to internal organs.

Superconductors
Transport electricity very efficiently or create future transportation systems based on magnetic fields.

Imagination is the start of construction.

"Superconductors"

Which reminds me as to why I want a conservative in charge of Florida still. Jeb is much more conservative than his brother. I just hope the next governor continues the trend. I want Florida and Texas to lead the way in this field.

It's free market Fascists like you that ruined my aircraft fabric dope business, my magneto crank handle foundry, my chain of customized washboard stores and shut down my plans for nationwide "Haggis Hut" franchises.

Damn you.< sarcasm/off >

All is good and well on tomorrow's jobs, but what of today's jobs? The high-tech sector is an American standard because of the huge taxpayer R&D subsidies. When pushed to the market most (small and medium corps) will slither to Asia. Your post maybe forward as to the technology created, but as for tomorrow's jobs think waitresses, janitors, teachers, plumbers and of course the quickest growing segment in any faltering economy - governemnt.
