THE OLD, TIRED IDEA that America has only a finite number of jobs -- and that we must guard them zealously against raids from cheap foreign labor -- has been making a remarkable comeback. The only difference is that its upside-down view of the economy has plumbed new depths.

You mean federal government restrictions on trade don't force businesses to keep jobs in America? I'm glad you're finally admitting this. Sorry to see you support yet another federal government restriction on business though. (By the way, as I explained, I'm not in retail brokerage, so I don't do cold-calling if you're headed that way.)

Thus illustrating your ignorance. Florida has never had a state income tax. It is the most friendly property tax and business tax business east of the Mississsippi. Why do you think so many companies and individuals are moving here? It's not just the weather. Land is still relatively cheap. For less than $150K you can still get a 1400 square foot home. And best of all, the Homestead Act gurantees some degree of financial security to those that buy homes here. You mocked me based on the joke of Palm Beach County which represents less than 5% of the state's population. Our state has a solid conservative GOP majority in all aspects of government. Can your state brag about that? Probably not. If you're going to brag about your knowledge, I would suggest getting some first.

I never said they had to. I also agree though that the invasion of my privacy by unwarranted cold calls though should be made elective by the individual. Since the telemarketers have yet to control themselves, nor respond to legal actions, they deserve what they got. Will of the people, remember?
