I have had time to review your website and the newer posts to this thread. I have some questions and comments, made in all Charity. The Gospel commands me to speak the truth as well as I can.

I too am Catholic, and from a Catholic Christian standpoint I am troubled with you connecting gays with pro-life and your apparent unqualified support of PLAGAL Pro-Life Alliance of Gays and Lesbians. On your website, in your Featured Essay, The Importance of PLAGAL, you state, “I will merely propose that PLAGAL is, in a symbolic way, as vital to the success of the pro-life movement as the pro-life movement is to the moral well-being of our civilization…”
Holy Mother Church has always and everywhere taught that acting out or living as a homosexual is mortally sinful, and that those who are so oriented must strive to reach holiness by living a celibate life.
Catechism of the Catholic Church 2357: “Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered." They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.”
Expounding on this Catechetical teaching we clearly see that homosexuality closes the door to God’s gift of Life through procreation, the ONLY acceptable way to bring forth new children for the LORD. While it is good that PLAGAL is against the intrinsic evil of abortion, the very lifestyle they live and promote is in direct contradiction to the heart of The Gospel of Life .
As sincere Pro-Lifers we must see that The Gospel of Life must naturally be Pro-Traditional Family.
Moreover, the homosexual agenda is patently contrary to the Gospel Message and weakens the unity of the flock of Jesus Christ. It destroys the sacredness of God’s will for the family, which for millennia has been the foundation of a healthy society, as it is vital to “the moral well-being of our civilization.”
Marc, how can you as a Catholic reconcile the clear teaching of the Church with your support of PLAGAL? Why, as a “born again Catholic” and pro-lifer would you act as an apologist for and defender of PLAGAL? And lastly, why does a group of pro-lifers have to specifically form a new separate group that overtly identifies their sexual orientation?

Homosexuals are not our ally in any way.
Although I appreciate the necessity of including various groups who believe in the sanctity of life, even though we have basic disagreements, I cannot condone the inclusion of groups who live a lifestyle that is the direct antithesis to God's teachings in His Holy Word.
Yes, I agree, they are evil in every way, but let's not forget that they are also a part of a much larger movement - the culture of death.
They are the ones who believe that infirmities and disabilities are just cause for extermination, i.e., Terri Shiavo.
