Good one, Trentino! And here's a giggle: the conscience of the Democratic party, the Reverend Al Sharpton-- LOL! That party's in serious trouble, isn't it?

I think the free association inanities he spouts are those completely in sync with his followers. This contradictory, patronizing condescension exactly mirrors the Northeast liberal's manner of thinking. He'll probably try to reign it in once he gets the nomination (key word is "try")

AFTER Dean gets the nomination, someone should just ask him if he believes that Jesus is the son of God. When he answers, we can all go back to watching South Park until election day, because it will be over.

Ping!

Interesting and thoughtful article. So far this is the most plausible explanation I've heard for Dr. Dean's confusing and troubling behavior.

I've been watching this egomaniac (Dean) for years.

My guess is that when he loses he will simply take the money remaining in his campaign till and retire somewhere warm....which should get him out of here at least.

Fits in well with Yossele the Gollem.

LOL! What a beautiful pair Dean and Joey make. And I don't think of Joey as a representative Orthodox man (he is too fake). :-)His wife was hilarious (not intentionally) when she did the intro of "My Joey" at the 2000 DNC! ;-)

Verrrrry interesting. Maybe true.

BTW, for those of you, such as I was, who do not know what a dybbuk is, here is an explanation taken from a review for the book Dybbuk on Amizon:

The Hebrew word "dybbuk" comes from a word meaning "cleaving" or "clinging." A dybbuk is a wandering, disembodied soul that enters another person's body and holds fast. This astonishing book chronicles six fully documented and dramatized reports of possession and exorcism in the Jewish experience--including accounts of the dybbuks of Safed, Smyrna, Baghdad, Brisk and Radin. Compellingly written by the author of The Golem of Prague, Dybbuk also features a captivating look at the traditional Jewish perspective on reincarnation, ghosts, apparitions, magic and superstition. A riveting, powerful book that you won't be able to put down!

Dean is like the kid in class who always had to prove how much smarter and better he is than everyone else. Thus he feels compelled to tell everyone exactly how he is going to play the yokels down south. He has to have the best story about his a relative in the service (it's hard to beat MIA/KIA). He can't just say he is an admirer of Jesus; he has to brag about being a "commited believer" even though he makes no mention of divinity and quit his church over a bike path. It' a clear pattern.

Now that we're certain about Dean's dybbuk status, we have to press forward to identify the wandering soul which has invaded his body and causes him to act like a simpleton.

Any candidates?

Hoping to Broaden his Appeal in the South, Dean admits "Im a Bigot"
12/27/03 | self

Posted on 12/26/2003 11:31:32 PM PST by woofie

Dateline Vermont...The Dean campaign admitted today that Howard Dean is not only a metrosexual but is also a bigot.

"I'm seeking the southern bigot vote." admitted Dean, "and people need to understand that I'm a bigot just like other southerners"

Capitalizing on bigotry may be a risky political move however, many experts are unsure just how this will play out in the general election.

"While Dean has been solicitous of Reverend Sharpton....the black vote is not an absolute certainty at this point," says Harvard professor, Shirley Froid, "Many blacks have announced they plan to vote for Bill Clinton in the next election."

"It shows a lack of education about the South on his part," says presidential candidate John Edwards, " We, in the South are not all bigots....some of us are black"

Coming on the heels of his statements that he plans to talk about Jesus, and eat chicken fried steaks, the announcement by Dean that he too is a bigot is seen as a "full Southern strategy" meant to solidify his base across the country.

Is it Hillary's wandering soul that possesses him?

How many articles have I seen on this theme: that this guy cannot be serious, that he is so stupid that it appears somewhat like he's deliberately setting himself up for a debacle and the party along with it.

Well, using Occam's razor, perhaps that's indeed what he's doing.
