U.S. and British intelligence in late September discovered a secret shipment bound for Libya that contained thousands of parts for centrifuges, a key component for producing nuclear weapons, senior U.S. officials said Wednesday. Officials said the interception of the cargo was a critical factor in squeezing Libya to give up its deadliest weapons programs.
The shipment was headed from a Persian Gulf port aboard a German ship. With help from the German government and the German shipping company, the United States was able to get the freighter BBC China diverted to a southern Italian port in early October, when it was boarded and the secret shipment seized. The parts were not on the ship's manifest, U.S. officials said.

German Liberals are not helping us (and they are in power). Germany is not a monolith. Are our Liberals helping us?

Then climb out of the get into what other people are thinking mode. You don't know why I say or do things just I don't know why you do. Funny how that works ain't it. When you got to "thinking" you "know" what "I am thinking" that seems to get people into trouble. That is why I just stick to what I think and let you have your opinion. I may not like it or agree with it, but opinions are like A-holes, we all got one and from time to time, they stink!

What the heck are you talking about..????
What button did I push to get you all riled up..??
By pointing out that some people just like to make everything fit their reality by making even positive news, negative...???
Read your own post will ya...??? Your going off on telling me about "These people" (which are who? every german? the german administration? every german ever lived?) your honorable military service (for which I am grateful for), your wife, how you can not be anti-german and A-holes... Instead of what was discussed which was a U.S. - German co-operation in intercepting a shipment of potentially pretty bad equipment

Great...

Lots of large commercial ports in the Gulf; they are Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Doha, Bahrein, Kuwait City and Muscat.
The first three are major shipping centers.
The only Saudi port on the Gulf is the oil terminal, IIRC.
Remember, UAE recognised the Taliban and Qatar has had a lot of links to Osama etc.
