Here is an update on my son, Steve, and his Standby Status to go to Iran with his Disaster Medical Assistance Team based in South Florida:

We're attending a New Year Eve celebration hosted by some Scottish friends of ours.

His DMAT Team already was scheduled for the month of January to respond to any terrorist strikes in the United States, but since they are designated one of only three International Insert Teams, that would take priority, and others in the States could take those.

I actually hope that Steve doesn't have to go over. I wish I could go to the same party he's going to tonight. I love everything Scottish. Sistah, I've been doing some more research on Jack's family and I traced it back to William in Donegal, Ireland in 1675. Poor Jack was really put out because he always thought his family was English. LOL. He insisted that his family was NOT Irish. I've been teasing him about it. He said that now he understands the hair-trigger tempers and the red hair in his family. I'm thrilled because I love the Irish.
