He was about 8 months old then. He is a great looking dog, from show lines, but I didn't do his ears when he was a pup. He is a stud now, but the first time, the female wasn't ready, and the next day someone put a male in with the female by mistake.... He should come up for stud in a few months again. Only about 300 Irish are registered in the US each year. Great dogs, but not for the unexperienced!
Like I say, if I wanted an easy dog, I woulda got a Lab....

Didn't know about the d/l capability.
Most of the games I played on the "Comode-a-dor" was Infocom stuff. Zork, Deadline, etc.
Learned to program in basic, got an assembler and did some machine language stuff on the 64.
BUT, the neatest thing was to put an e-prom in it, wire a switch to look at the ram UNDERNEATH the ROM when a game cartridge was installed, make copies of the games, take out the LDA, STA commands that would screw up the game if it were running in RAM but not ROM (copy-protection), and make copies of game cartridges on floppy disk. Give it the old "Load < gamename >,8,1" command, and away you'd go!
FOR ARCHIVAL PROPERTIES ONLY, of course.

I was a console operator on an IBM 370-40 in 1973. A photo of that beast couldn't fit on your screen. LOL!

I had many of those uh...archival..programs back then. Remember cutting the notch in the floppys so you could use both sides?
The emulators work real well, you can run most any C64 game on your pc, its cool. If you play Grand Theft Auto Vice City on your PC, it starts with the C64 sign on screen!
As for uh..archival... programs today, no comment, but I do enjoy shopping in Bangkok...:->

I am just posting it....been happening several times a day....the Air France flights and the flight inbound from Mexico...
Could this be happening because both France and Mexico gave us a hard time over having air marshalls on their flights?
To: Burpinflyz
Do you have the stones to translate this for us? My bet = NO. Begone fool.

Why would terrorists
use incoming foreign planes?
The alert in Vegas concerned crash landing the planes on the Strip. Even with little fuel, it would cause havoc. It would take out a good piece of the strip.

Want Space Taxi! Want Seven Cities of Gold!
Waaaah!
(I'm told that Space Taxi, at least, has not become available for C-64 emulation. Gosh, that was a cool game.)
Hey Taxi! (Squish.)

Vegas is a no flight zone due to threats and the heavy tourism of New Year's Eve.

It's film clips badly spliced from Deep Impact and Independance Day.

lets see: Some (not, unfortunately, many) liberals are educable. There are a number of former & recovering liberals posting of FR, inclusive of myself.
Anything that can educate those folks is good.
I was, apparently, getting the same page, but didn't notice the scroll bar on the LEFT side of the screen. Arabic is, if I remember correctly, read right to left, like Hebrew. (Ain't that gonna P.O. some folks who haven't thought about it?) I do not read Arabic, but I'm semi-familiar with it, as I spent 7+ months there (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), 14 August 1990-25 March 1991. Left Shaw AFB on my 7th wedding anniversary, just to make it quite memorable.
I've also lived in Turkey (3 years, total, 2 trips) and am losing my very little Turkish for lack of practice. I do not have a problem with Muslims. I have a severe problem with what someone else called Islamofacists. I've adopted that term for them, because they aren't Muslims. We Christians and Jews have similar writings in our scriptures, as some of the more hateful stuff in the Koran, but our scriptures are organized in a more or less chronological order, so it is easier to tell what things apply to what periods of time, and what events were happening then. The Muslims have their scriptures organized by length, which fouls that up beyond belief. I don't see the need to call for the Viking Kitties for trolls. Zot 'em and be done with it. I like the Kitties for their own wonderful selves, though. I have them downloaded on every computer in the house I can get to the network.
As far as my service, I needed a job, and they offered one. (I had family members betting cash I wouldn't make it through basic.) I found I liked it, the structure, the camaderie, the work, the sense of belonging. I stayed 24 years, I liked it so much. Would have stayed forever if they'd let me. I've been out 6 years now, and now wish I'd quit at 20, but that is only because I've found that I make a good teacher, and I want to do that, full-time, now. I've got about a year and a half or so to go, and then I will teach history, and if I can get enough math and science credits, I'll teach them, too. If I'd gotten out at 20, I'd be done with the degree now, and in the classroom already. I can already tell that there is a GREAT need for conservative male teachers out in the world. Military experience a plus! I figure I'll retire from that when they drag my cold dead hands from the lectern... ;)
