I had bad luck with AF out of LA, once I was given a seat, got to the jetway, and got bumped at 1130 pm, never mind that my bags were on board. Another time I got bumped and had to scramble to catch a Swissair flight to Zurich, got a center seat, then we sat for 4 hours on the plane while the hydraulics got fixed. Got into Zurich about 10 pm, because I was an airline emp, I didn't get a free hotel, I grabbed a shower at the airport, slept on a couch and caught the 7 am flight to Prague. Flew home 2 days later...

Thanks for the link, Mayor...trying it again...it booted me off FR and froze me up, besides.....(I have windows ME; it's very dumb OS).

Makes you wonder what the chances are someone on that flight may have run across this thread. Talk about increasing the pucker factor....
