Not may be granted, WILL be granted. There will be no program introduced that doesn't allow them to legalize themselves eventually. Bush is basically modeling his program after the one proposed by Mcbuttstaincain and if you've read that you would understand.

However, on another thread with a Frontpagemag article, this is what I found:

''I'm not saying make them citizens,'' Ridge said. "They violated our laws to get here. You don't reward that kind of conduct.''

Yet, the Frontpage article tries to create some semblance of an argument as to how this will definitely lead to them being actual citizens, which is a pretty pathetic attempt to read made of pure guess-work.

Once the President's plan, not one from McCain etc., is proposed, then we can argue about the PLAN ITSELF and whether it actually proposes amnesty or eventual citizenship, or simply allow the folks to work for awhile in jobs that we would not want. Of course, speculation about how it may eventually turn into citizenship won't be convincing then either. Actual legislation text will have to be used to prove such.
