I still don't see anything on this thread except people terrified of mexicans. No alternative and no recognition that a problem exists on the other side -- employers trying to get employees. Have any of you gone to a chicken plant in Georgia to get a job and been turned down because an illegal mexican wanted it?

Oh, your one of those types. The poor illegals. Please, I am not terrified of mexicans because I am descended from them. The fact is that they should not be here unless to do it like my relatives did (legally). Then they can pay their dues like the rest of the legal immigrants. All the people like you (pro-amnesty) squeek about protecting the low income jobs that "Americans don't want". Please, there are people out there that would take those jobs just to have an income. How about giving them to teenagers (the Hilton girls, Nicole Ritchie and other spoiled brats like them) could use a dose of reality and hard work to make them appreciate what they have.

The simple fact is taht without illegal immigrants companies would be forced to pay minimum wage or better attracting American workers.
Webhre this is not feasable, they would look at increasing productivity by capital and tools.

The problem is on the other side of the Border, so what is the solution? Open the Border to everyone? Invade Mexico?

I once worked in a beef packing plant, the company closed the plant, and sold out to another company, when the plant was re-opened, many who had worked there for years tried to get hired on, not a chance, Mexicans were hired, many of whom were Illegal.
