DON'T SHOP DAY!!! (In protest of the upcoming Bush Amnesty)
Grassroots Effort ^ | American Patrol

Posted on 12/30/2003 10:55:22 AM PST by libertylass

"DON¹T SHOP DAY" IS CATCHING ON!! COMING TO TV!!

A major TV media outlet will do a story on the January 12th -- "Don¹t Shop Day." They have asked for an interview tomorrow!!! SEE http://tinyurl.com/3h5gn

WE NEED TALK RADIO TO DISCUSS THIS ACTION! We need you to call those talk shows!

Remember these talking points:

WHY?

A. Bush political advisors tell him voters have NO PLACE TO GO to protest his amnesty plans since all the Democrat candidates support amnesty. (See: http://www.washtimes.com/national/20030906-120054-6125r.htm)

HOW?

B. Since they think we have NO PLACE TO GO, we should let them know what they are up to by GOING NO PLACE on January 12, 2004, the first day of Bush¹s visit with Mexican President Fox in Mexico City. In other words, don¹t shop, don't go to movies, etc. Stay at home!

NO ONE IS HURT--

C. This is not a boycott. There will be no real economic damage to anyone, just a demonstration of our ability to protest. It's a win-win situation!

THERE IS NO SPONSOR--

D. While American Patrol is supporting this effort, there is no official sponsor. It is a true grassroots effort.

WHAT AMERICANS ARE SAYING:

Here is just some of the email feedback:

+++++++++++++++++++++ Everyone is really getting the word out. I think it's going to have a big impact. -- Along the same lines I think we should add: Make No Bank Deposits that day. Do not pay any bills (from the 9th-12th), and no online shopping either. -- Sincerely, Shanna in Arizona +++++++++++++++++++++++++ I did a search for historical events for the days between now and Jan.12th when President Bush will meet with President Fox, and the day when hundreds of thousands of Americans will not do ANY shopping. Tomorrow is the anniversary of the Pledge of Allegiance.

Tuesday is the anniversary of the U.S.- Mexico border. Wednesday is the anniversary of the opening of Ellis Island. We will add another day: January 12, 2004 - the American people protested illegal immigration with their pocketbook. Barbara V. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The no shop day on 1/12/04 could stop Bush dead in his amnesty tracks if it catches on, and I very much think it will. My friends and family are spreading the word fast. The media is always writing about the great economic clout of the Latino lobby to make driver's licenses and Latino benefits happen. This could be a demonstration of REAL economic power that could upstage Bush/Fox in Monterrey Mexico on 1/12/04. This Bush-amnesty counter-measure is a brilliant idea. Suddenly we don't have to be observers watching our citizenship, sovereignty, and laws being thrown away. L.B., Riverside, CA ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Actually, you can force illegals out voluntarily.
1. Severly penalize all employers of illegal aliens. This includes everyone from Tyson to Kmart to the local fast food restaurant and the subsurban family too lazy to mow its garden. No jobs, and the illegals have to incentive to be here.
2. Ensure that illegals do not recieve any public benefits.
3. Pay the tranit costs of illegals wishing to leave.

Have you taken economics classes?
The simple fact is taht without illegal immigrants companies would be forced to pay minimum wage or better attracting American workers.
Webhre this is not feasable, they would look at increasing productivity by capital and tools.

The solution is to fine or jail the employers. Then the illegals will go back home on their own.

Most "retired" Americans could work for many years.
Why should fit people be forced into retirement and the rest of us into servitude?

I like some of the things Bush has done, but I believe he is softly pushing forward the one world agenda. Bush SR. advocated one world government and I don't believe the son is that far away from his father.

I tend to agree, though I think that Bush would make it an American-led New World Order, as opposed to Clinton, who would have it led by Brussels/Paris/Berlin.

It's is still a REWARD for illegals.......that's why they keep coming by the millions.

So, what's the solution? Imprison and identify every Hispanic person in the Southwest? How do we access the illegals vs. the Mexican-American citizens? I'm just asking, because I really don't know how a mass deportation would work... I think the government has f*cked up so bad that it might be impossible to know who is who.

To start with, any illegal who gets so much as a parking fine will fall under the radar for any official who isn't deliberately turning a blind eye. At that point, he should be deported post-haste. That way, they'll either all be deported, or we'll wind up with one spit-shining law abiding population among us. Either way, the problem will be greatly mitigated.

In 1986 President Reagan granted a one time blanket amnesty to illegals that could prove that they had lived in the US for a number of years. Then there were to be severe fines imposed on employers who hired illegals. Fines are almost never imposed and illegals are hired with impunity.

It might be good to contact our senators and congressmen and let them know of our anger with the failure to enforce existing law.

As to illegals receiving public benefits, we must still provide for some benefits regardless of immigration status. Hospitals are required by Federal law to treat anyone who asks for it. That is why hospitals along the border are in bad financial straits and require public funding to keep afloat. Congress could possibly deny other social welfare funding to those states that permit illegals on their welfare roles. However, this would be a very political hot potato and I know of no one in congress (except Tom Tancredo) who has the fortitude to do this.

Some months ago I read that CHEAP LABOR IS NEVER CHEAP it is very true.

Your idea of paying for a ticket outta here is a great one! I remember that in the 1960's it was said that welfare in Mississippi was a bus ticket to NYC. We could even throw in some cash to encourage returning from whence they came.

Unfortunately, I think that our President and representatives are disinclined to anything meaningful about illegals. We need to write them and tell them that we will not give them our vote.

The adults will address this issue and solve it, you people can luxuriate in your seige per usual.

The adults? LOL! Good one Fufkins!

I second that LOL, Joe.

These are the same adults that brought us CFR, the education bill, and 15 billion dollars to AID's racket in Africa.

So, what's the solution? Imprison and identify every Hispanic person in the Southwest?

Actually its much easier than that. Legal aliens have plenty of legal ID issued by their government and ours. Most illegals have little or none. If, in the course of whatever transaction, the best ID they can show is a something as bogus as a matriculas consulares, chances are just about certain that the person is illegal.

The easiest way would be to simply announce that as of April 1, 2004 anyone caught employing an illegal alien would have the full force of the law thrown at them -- the penalties are substantial. This gives the illegals three months to liquidate any assets and skedaddle home, and gives the employers three months to rearrange their hiring practices.

On the same date, all welfare services for non-citizens will cease. Legal immigrants aren't supposed to be entitled to them, so why should illegals?

Any illegal caught remaining here after that time will be jailed, tried, convicted, forfeit all assets, and be deported -- and barred from any future legal entry into this country.

Remember to shop on January 12th, and toast our President as he meets with the president of Mexico!

The Tequilas

PATRÓN SILVER
Patrón Silver is called young or "joven" tequila. A similarity may be made to a young or nouvelle wine. It is known for its lite, fresh, crystal clear look and an elegant smoothness not found in other silver tequilas. Many prefer this smooth soft and lite tequila over an aged and slightly oaky flavor. Those that know the difference may find Patrón Silver the finest silver tequila available. It is perfect for blending, with high quality mixer or may easily be sipped as is recommended with Patrón Anejo and Patrón Reposado.

PATRÓN REPOSADO
Patrón Reposado is aged in oak barrels for a minimum of six months. Patrón Reposado is aged and blended to incorporate the fresh clean taste of Patrón Silver with a hint of the oak flavor found in Patrón Anejo. Reposado style tequila has been popular in Mexico for many years and is experiencing an excellent reception by most tequila connoisseurs world wide. Patrón Reposado may be enjoyed as a sipping tequila or mixed with high quality mixers. It makes an excellent "ultra premium" margarita.

PATRÓN ANEJO
Patrón Anejo is a delicate blend of uniquely aged tequilas. As in many premium red wines the blends must be adjusted for each vintage. The same care and attention is paid when blending Patrón Anejo. All the aged tequilas are aged in small white oak barrels. The aging of tequila is carefully supervised by the authorities insuring exact aging information.

Patrón tequilas are exceptional for a reason. Firstly they are produced from 100% Weaber Tequilana Blue Agave which when grown in this region of Jalisco is known to produce excellent high quality "honey" or sugar levels.

The second and primary reason for the excellence of Patrón tequilas can be equated to time and care.

Like great wines the creation of a great tequila cannot be rushed. The basic reason that Patrón tequilas are priced as they are is due to using only the highest quality "agave pineapples", properly selected, trimmed and thereafter allowing natures time for cooking, fermenting, distilling and aging. Excellence can not be forced. All of this time and care results in the unequaled soft, smooth and delicious Patrón tequilas.

Water>>>>>

Have been told a 'water well' here in TX will soon be more valuable than an oil well, and the larger area's have water 'rationing' every summer. If you not 'rationed' you still can't afford your water bill.

This also reminds me, last I heard Fox/Mexico has still not paid their 'water debt' they owe us in So. TX.

I heard a radio guy claiming about 85% today. Including among Americans with Mexican ancestors.>>>>>>>

Many Mexican/Americans & (any) immigrant/Americans are against any rewards for illegals.

Proof......Grey Davis 'pandered' to the illegals in CA, & was voted out......More proof, the Dem. 'Cruz' didn't get elected either.

How many more millions of illegals should we wait to cross over before we voice our displeasure? We're somewhere around 10 million now. Is 50 million enough? 100?

Well, I can understand that - really, I can. However, I don't see how a "National Don't Shop Day" will do anything except, maybe, make our own economy take a nice hit. But hey, if people want to give the rats even more ammo, feel free, but I'll not join in. If anyone has any better ideas, I'd be willing to listen, but this plan doesn't really strike me as being useful...

You really need the right Southwestern artwork to go with with your libations.

Desert Visions

The tourists who flock to Tombstone usually miss these panoramas in the San Pedro Riparian Conservation Area, Coronado National Forest, and the canyons of the Huachuca Mountains.

Today's The Washington Times ("A dissenting student hounded for his views: threatened over anti-immigration article" by Valerie Richardson) provides how these criminals are even trying to destroy our freedom of speech.>>>>>>>

Yes, & they're 'learning how to get around more of our laws *claiming the language barrier*.

Read where one just had his DWI dismissed in a small town, 'cause a translator wasn't provided *on the spot*.

Hmmm......How many languages will cops now have to speak, to do their job ???
