I watched a rerun yesterday (first time in years). They use to call me Wilson at the office. That's all they saw of me over my monitor.

STUPID QUESTION ALERT!
Was the hidden face for some purpose, like Radar's clipboard hiding his hand, or just a gag?

Was the hidden face for some purpose, like Radar's clipboard hiding his hand, or just a gag? What was wrong with Radars hand? I know about Scotty's missing fingers on Star Trek which was always hidden on that show, but I dont know anything about Radar?

What was wrong with Radars hand? The actor that played him, Gary Burghoff, has a deformed left hand. If you watch carefully, it is always hidden by a clipboard, or in his pocket, etc.

I'm guessing closed casket?Part way...

There is no medical purpose, but there was a theatrical purpose. Wilson was intended to be like Tim's conscience so they never wanted Wilson's face to be fully revealed. This way Wilson would be more like an overseer of Tim and less that of a person fully involved in Tim's life.
Or something like that...

I know about Scotty's missing fingers on Star Trek which was always hidden on that show... Really? I never knew that bit of trivia. Thanks!

I never liked that hidden face gimmick....otherwise a decent TV show.
