You know, I think we all blew it. Everybody. The alphabet agencies, the oblivious and complacent public. Everybody. If they had tried to warn us of such a thing we would have 'pooh-poohed' it. The truth is, the danger was out there written in 100 mile high letters and we chose to ignore it.
Just like what's going on Pakistan right now. Al Qaeda is about to join the list of the world's nuclear powers and when I look out my window I only see people heading off to Princes St or coming back with two arms full of stuff they bought at the shops. Nobody cares about the danger they don't see.
