Debbie, FreeRepublic Widow (wife of knarf), Prayer Request.

I think it was August or September I wrote and asked for prayer for my wife, Debbie. She had been diagnosed with Sarcoma cancer and had an operation that removed a soft-ball sized tumor from her abdomen. It had attached itself to the upper intestine and a part to the lower.

That surgery was to take the tumor with sections of the intestine and re-connect everything.

A follow-up CT and PET scan indicated a growth in her upper left lobe of her lung. It too was operated on (The upper lobe was removed) (October 8, I think) and it was Sarcoma as well.

Again, follow up pictures ... CT, PET, Sonogram and x-ray all indicated 'something' going on in the abdominal area. It was determined to be in/on the pancreas and In November they drew fluid that turnwed out to be 'negative' from a cyst that had developed on her pancreas.

We have been waiting for a surgery date for that operation.

Unfortunately ... Debbie has been having a hard time with eating/nausea and a lot of abdominal pain.

On December 26, I took the kids to do some shopping and I got a call from my daughter that she was taking Mom to the hospital. A visiting nurse had come by and was not pleased with Debbie's weight/temp and abdomanil size .. assumedly from the cyst )

This morning a CT scan was done and a growth was found in the duodenum (sp?) as well as the cyst.

Tomorrow the oncologist will dp a 'scope' thing ( I forget the term ) and try to get a sample to biopsy.

All science and history points to a recurrance of the Sarcoma. It's site is very near where the first excise took place.

Her attitude is good ("We don't really know, do we?") and her will is strong.

Fill her with the confidence that comes from knowing that You are in charge. Let peace reign in her family and let fear not prevail. In the Name of Jesus Christ, our Great Physician, Amen.
