Hon, do tell how your firearm would have helped anyone in that building on 911. And how is it going to stop an anthrax attack In all fairness, you are being kind of disingenuous. You obviously avoided mentioning being armed on the planes .
And please don't beg the question by mentioning guns aren't allowed on planes... they're not allowed in New York, period.

Well, it seems to me that the border issue is the elephant in the room that no one in the government wants to acknowledge.

***If Israel can't offer solid warnings, how would the United States be able to offer a warning.
Exactly .. and if anyone thinks the things happening in Israel can't happen here .. they are fools***
And Israel has been dealing with this for years and years and years and can't stop all the attacks . . . we've had the WTC attacks of 1993 and 2001 and those are the only major foreign terrorist attacks on our land.
It's inevitable that something will happen here, at some time. No matter how many warnings, something will happen. God protect us all.

I thought they had a license that does not require code. My husband built his 1st rig when he was 12. He sold all of his equipment when he got interested in bass fishing and golf. Ham is a fascinating hobby.

Well you assumption is a citizen would have a gun, right? and the hijackers wouldn't? I will allow that a person with a gun might have made a difference on the planes but if people were allowed guns on planes, hijackers would have them also. The way to deal with terrorists is multipronged but intel seems to be the overarching important one. We are trying to do that. Now in spite of all the criping about Homeland Security, the stupidity of Tom Ridge, etc,,there have been no attacks in this country in two years and you can bet your bippy it wasn't because the terrorists were lounging around on the net.

My .40 is in my car. I would feel much better if it were here in the engineroom with me, but security would get uptight if they caught me bringin it onboard. I wish I were at home in Fla right now, but yeah, there are lots more LEA water patrols now. It seems every Fla county now has a deputy in a center console, gotta watch that Bushwacker intake when I'm fishin!

"Cold Mountain", because it's just the grown-ups going today. We'll probably take the kids to see "Cheaper by the Dozen" sometime this week.

***They didn't lie about not having foreknowledge about 9/11. What they had, and what they stated publicly that they had had, was a lot of very unspecific pieces of chatter. Being able to pull the idea of commercial passenger jets being flown into the WTC and the Pentagon was not spelled out in advance for them, and what they had that may have led them to a conclusion anywhere near that was buried amongst info leading to a ton of other conclusions.
That they didn't find the needle buried in the huge haystack does not equate to lying.***
Great comment!
